Slow Food Nation
It’s been a while since I have last written in the spirit of blogs, and I say it’s time to unite once again since often times I want to remember what interesting causes, events, and places I’ve participated in or visited..
This labor day weekend was one of the most relaxing weekends I have had all summer long. With a full time internship in hi-tech, additional corporate trainings through InRoads, and weekly pageant rehearsals, it’s been a full load for me this summer.
With a background in Italian food culture, I have really allowed myself to be experimental and curious in trying new foods these recent years. Never would I have imagined touching raw fish, tasting deer, nor dipping my fingers in Indian food. It’s been a great adventure and I have grown to love food more and more! After all, it’s only one of the few wonders that our cultures of the world have to offer!
This past weekend was Slow Food Nation in San Francisco. With more than 60,000 people who attended, it was an event that promoted , well… as the name clearly says it, SLOW FOOD! The whopping $68 price tag is worth it if you take a moment to try every single delicacy that each booth has to offer. Here are some photos, credits to Flickr Slow Food Nation Group Members.
